“UK-China Virtual Matchmaking Precision Medicine”, under the Global Business Innovation Programme, has selected to fund a small cohort of high-growth, ambitious UK companies with expertise in precision medicine technologies to explore opportunities for innovation collaboration and technology exchange with Chinese partners.

 

2021中英精準(zhǔn)醫(yī)療技術(shù)項(xiàng)目對(duì)接暨跨境加速合作是英國(guó)創(chuàng)新署發(fā)起的全球商業(yè)創(chuàng)新計(jì)劃（Global Business Innovation Programme, GBIP）重點(diǎn)專題活動(dòng)之一。該計(jì)劃由英國(guó)創(chuàng)新署和英國(guó)多家EEN（歐洲企業(yè)服務(wù)網(wǎng)絡(luò)）成員單位合作實(shí)施，旨在幫助英國(guó)科技企業(yè)建立跨境業(yè)務(wù)關(guān)系，鏈接全球市場(chǎng)資源及創(chuàng)新合作伙伴，其所促成的跨境合作伙伴關(guān)系涵蓋了聯(lián)合研發(fā)、技術(shù)轉(zhuǎn)讓或許可、商業(yè)代理、跨境創(chuàng)業(yè)、直接投資等不同方式。

 

Supported by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) and Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality (STCSM) , co-hosted by Shanghai Technology Innovation Center，Innovative UK (EEN UK) and the Science and Technology Committee of Baoshan District, co-organized by Innovate UK EDGE, Shanghai Lingang Innovation Galaxy Chenggong Technology Co., Ltd and Shanghai Co-Way International Technology Transfer Center, UK-China Virtual Matchmaking Precision Medicine program has been operated in an orderly manner. During the 4-month hard working, 4 vertical experts discussed and provided their preliminary comments on potential market fit in China for 15 UK companies. Followed by Kick-Off Day and two-month intensive one-on-one matchmaking, 4 companies will present on the Demo Day, through which the participants could discover different options and relevant impact on cross-border collaboration.

 

在上海市科學(xué)技術(shù)委員會(huì)與英國(guó)國(guó)家研究與創(chuàng)新總署的支持下，本項(xiàng)目由上海市科技創(chuàng)業(yè)中心、英國(guó)創(chuàng)新署、上海寶山區(qū)科學(xué)技術(shù)委員會(huì)共同主辦，并由英國(guó)創(chuàng)新署中小企業(yè)服務(wù)中心、上海臨港新業(yè)坊城工科技有限公司、上?？仆?guó)際技術(shù)轉(zhuǎn)移中心有限公司聯(lián)合承辦，并得到多家創(chuàng)業(yè)孵化載體及大企業(yè)的協(xié)同合作。

 

本次2021中英精準(zhǔn)醫(yī)療技術(shù)項(xiàng)目對(duì)接暨跨境加速合作整體工作歷時(shí)4個(gè)月。來自英國(guó)的15家精準(zhǔn)醫(yī)療領(lǐng)域技術(shù)公司經(jīng)過首輪項(xiàng)目分析診斷、第二輪線上啟動(dòng)展示、第三輪單項(xiàng)對(duì)接洽談，最終有4家英國(guó)企業(yè)進(jìn)入終輪路演日活動(dòng)。

 

Following the Kick-off Day, here came two-month intensive 1-on-1 virtual matchmaking. In order to achieve precision matching, STIC cooperated with four units: Shanghai HiMed International Innovation Center, Hangzhou Fenghui Liuheqiao Capital, Shanghai Jiading Advanced Technology Innovation & Business Center and National Eastern Tech-Transfer Center, to form a joint working group. Their working responsibility was allocated according to the characteristics of each project. Therefore, the process of matchmaking, information analyzing, recording and feeding back could be promoted progressively. Till now, over 20 Chinese technology companies, medical and investment institutions participated in the online matchmaking and more than 35 one-on-one online conferences were conducted.

 

Liuheqiao Venture Capital participated in a number of  matching activities as the only venture capital from Zhejiang, giving suggestions to British companies about future landing in China, especially in Zhejiang Province.

 

自7月始，本項(xiàng)目正式進(jìn)入持續(xù)兩個(gè)月的快節(jié)奏線上1對(duì)1項(xiàng)目交流。主辦方協(xié)同上海嘉定育成中心、上海海脈德國(guó)際醫(yī)創(chuàng)中心、杭州六和橋創(chuàng)投及國(guó)家技術(shù)轉(zhuǎn)移東部中心等四家單位，組成聯(lián)合工作組，按英國(guó)項(xiàng)目特點(diǎn)分類分工推進(jìn)每項(xiàng)線上對(duì)接工作的企業(yè)適配、會(huì)前分析、會(huì)中記錄、會(huì)后反饋工作。截至目前，合計(jì)20+家中方科技企業(yè)、醫(yī)療及投資機(jī)構(gòu)參與線上對(duì)接，累計(jì)完成35+場(chǎng)線上一對(duì)一洽談會(huì)。

六和橋創(chuàng)投作為浙江機(jī)構(gòu)代表參與了多場(chǎng)項(xiàng)目對(duì)接活動(dòng)，為英方企業(yè)在國(guó)內(nèi)，尤其是在浙江落地提供了大量建議。

 

On September 17, Demo Day was held in Shanghai and streamed online simultaneously. Demo Day is an intimate event for the UK and China to share GOV programs & success cases about the collaboration on life science, bringing together UK precision medicine companies and Chinese vertical stakeholders to highlight the reflections of the virtual matchmaking meetings, and to discuss the best path and collaboration option for cross-border acceleration.

 

On Demo Day, EEN East China officially launch the partnering base in Baoshan District. It is expected to be a good start for better supporting local inno-entrepreneurial players to connect with inno-ecosystem in Europe, also helping ambitious SMEs to innovate and grow internationally.

 

9月17日中英精準(zhǔn)醫(yī)療技術(shù)項(xiàng)目對(duì)接暨跨境加速合作路演日以線上和線下相結(jié)合的方式舉行。本次活動(dòng)面向更多行業(yè)內(nèi)的技術(shù)企業(yè)、投資公司及醫(yī)療機(jī)構(gòu)代表，積極分享中英雙方科技創(chuàng)新公共管理部門對(duì)跨境合作業(yè)務(wù)的政策項(xiàng)目支持信息，概括呈現(xiàn)本次中英精準(zhǔn)醫(yī)療技術(shù)項(xiàng)目對(duì)接暨跨境加速合作的對(duì)接情況及階段成果，并協(xié)同討論海外技術(shù)企業(yè)鏈接中國(guó)的合作機(jī)會(huì)及路徑優(yōu)化。本次路演日活動(dòng)也揭牌了首個(gè)EEN華東中心區(qū)級(jí)合作基地，期待進(jìn)一步激活市區(qū)聯(lián)動(dòng)服務(wù)資源，配合推進(jìn)更多海外硬科技項(xiàng)目與中方垂直領(lǐng)域適配企業(yè)及機(jī)構(gòu)的精準(zhǔn)對(duì)接合作。

Aiming to support more overseas tech-SMEs’ ground running in China, we would like to share the possible options for collaboration mode with vertical Chinese partners:

? Factories. To localize your R&D production and then move to manufacturing. Certainly, this option depends on enough resources & long-term step-by-step preparation.

? Joint venture. To look at Chinese companies that are seeking global presence and technology, and then do some co-investment & joint venture for your practical running in the new market.

?Tech-services. To deliver specific but standardized tech-solution, and get involved in the construction of supply chain platform. This option should be based on unique technological capability and useful IP strategy behind.

 

有效幫助海外科技企業(yè)來華加速落地，一直是我們跨境業(yè)務(wù)的重點(diǎn)難點(diǎn)任務(wù)。借本次中英精準(zhǔn)醫(yī)療技術(shù)項(xiàng)目對(duì)接暨跨境加速合作業(yè)務(wù)，我們希望與更多合作伙伴探討海外技術(shù)項(xiàng)目與中國(guó)伙伴尋求創(chuàng)新合作的可行模式：一是本地化生產(chǎn)，即開展產(chǎn)品研發(fā)本地化并逐步建立本地制造的業(yè)務(wù)基礎(chǔ)，該方式須募集足夠資源也須有長(zhǎng)期籌備的耐心；二是合資公司，即與具備國(guó)際化拓展及技術(shù)合作需求的中國(guó)企業(yè)建立合作，共同投資或成立合資公司；三是開展特定的技術(shù)服務(wù)，即通過提供特殊且標(biāo)準(zhǔn)化的技術(shù)解決方案來嵌入細(xì)分領(lǐng)域的當(dāng)?shù)毓?yīng)鏈，當(dāng)然這對(duì)外方企業(yè)的技術(shù)能力及專利策略都有很高的要求。
